Weather Alert – Delayed Opening for 2/5/26
- Published

The Wake County area is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, February 5. Out of an abundance of caution, Meredith will operate on a delay. Administrative offices will open at 11 a.m., and on-campus classes will begin at 11 a.m.
Students should check their email and Brightspace for messages from faculty about asynchronous assignments for 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. classes.
As always, you should make your decisions regarding traveling to campus based on your safety in light of conditions in your area.
Campus Conditions: Grounds crews will begin work early tomorrow to treat roads and walkways. However, some surfaces, particularly elevated walkways, bridges, and railings, may remain slick until temperatures rise. Use caution when moving around campus.
Dining Hours: Belk Dining Hall will operate under the normal schedule. For updates, check the Belk Dining Hall Instagram feed: https://www.instagram.com/meredith_dining/
Next Update: This message concludes our inclement-weather updates for this Winter Weather Advisory. The inclement-weather team will continue monitoring forecasts throughout the season.
