Weather Alert: Activities canceled 1/25; Remote operations 1/26 – 1/27

With the Raleigh area under a Winter Storm Watch, Meredith College classes will be held remotely on Monday, January 26 – Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Campus activities for Sunday, January 25, are also cancelled.

In addition, employees who can work remotely can do so during all shifts on January 26 – January 27. Please be aware that response times may be delayed depending on weather conditions.

Employees should consult with their supervisors, who are encouraged to be flexible and recognize that some employees may live in areas affected differently by the weather. Please always use your best judgment about coming to campus if you live in an area that warrants additional caution. 

During any inclement weather event, Meredith departments, including Campus Police, Dining, Residence Life, and Facilities, have plans in place to ensure essential campus services remain available. Supervisors of essential personnel will coordinate staffing needs with their teams.

Belk Dining Hall will be open on a modified schedule. Hours will be shared on Campus Dining’s web page and on Instagram @meredith_dining. 

Students enrolled in Cooperating Raleigh Colleges (CRC) classes should check the operating schedules for individual schools.

Resident students: More detailed information will be provided via email in a separate message.

Next update: Any changes to Meredith’s operating schedule for the remainder of the week, including remote instruction, the cancellation of on-campus activities, or a delay in campus opening, will be announced by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
