Undergraduate Research Continues Partnership

Undergraduate Research kicked off its 2017 Summer Research Partnership program on May 12. The program continue its relationship with Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy, with nine early college high school students partnering with Meredith College students and faculty on projects. These nine projects are funded by the Jessie Ball duPont Religious, Charitable, and Educational Fund.

Director of Undergraduate Research Paul Winterhoff and Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences Carolina Perez-Heydrich will be co-directing the summer research partnership with Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy. The program is also fortunate to fund remaining summer projects with support from the Shepard K. Halsch Academic Enrichment Fund for Undergraduate Research. In total there will be 32 Meredith students working on 17 different projects during the summer research period.
