StrongPoints® to Hold Strengths Day Event

Meredith College’s StrongPoints® office, in collaboration with the Art and Dance Departments, will hold a Strengths Day event on April 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Cate Center.

Students will reflect on how their strengths shape their purpose and connect to caring for our world. These reflections will be displayed on a “Purpose Wall” in the Cate Center on Earth Day, highlighting how individual purpose contributes to community impact. The event will also include line dancing, ice cream, and kite decorating.

As a reminder for students to uplift themselves and their strengths, a community kite-flying event will be held in front of The Oaks. Professor of Geoscience Dr. Matthew Stutz will determine the best day for kite flying between April 15 and April 22 based on wind conditions. Students, faculty, and staff can check their Meredith email for updates.

“Events like this create space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with who we are and why we are here in the first place,” said Director of StrongPoints Emily Caldwell. “It’s a reminder that purpose is not always something big and dramatic; sometimes it starts with simply taking a moment to notice what matters to you, what grounds you, and how you want to show up in the world. When we each live with purpose and have better self-awareness, we lift more than ourselves.”
