Staying Strong updates include important COVID-19 reminders that will be helpful during the Spring 2022 semester. Items are either of interest to faculty/staff or on topics about which students may ask questions.
KN95 Masks Available for Employees and Students
To combat the high contagion rates of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the CDC now recommends wearing more effective masks including KN95 masks instead of cloth face coverings.
The Executive Leadership Team has authorized an order of KN95 masks to help supply high-quality masks to students and employees. Each Meredith community member is eligible to receive one free pack of 10 KN95 masks.
Masks will be distributed through the Campus Store, located on the first floor of the Cate Student Center. In order to receive your free allotment of masks, come to the store and show your CamCard to a sales associate.
Meredith’s free mask allotments are available through the physical store only. Store hours are Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Please note that N95, KF94, and surgical masks are also recommended rather than cloth masks. Visit meredith.edu/staying-strong/masking-guidance for more information on safe masking.
Free masks are also available through the federal government at various distribution points throughout Wake County.
