Spring 2021 Alumnae Events Calendar

March 25
5 p.m.
Scholar Sips Series – “Vaccine Hesitancy:  Echoes of Distrust,” featuring Assistant Professor of History Amy O’Keefe and Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences and Undergraduate Research Program Director Caro Perez-Heydrich. A historical consideration of public responses to vaccination campaigns. Participants will receive a zoom link upon registration.

March 28 
1 p.m.– 3 p.m.
Drive-through Easter Bunny Visit hosted by the Young Alumnae Board
This socially distant spin on our annual spring event will allow children to collect eggs at several stops along the front drive and include a special appearance by the Easter Bunny in front of Johnson Hall.

April 6  
8 p.m.
Virtual Alumnae Book Club featuring a discussion of The Star-Crossed Sisters of Tuscanyby Lori Nelson Spielman

April 8 – 22        
Virtual Angel Hike 2021
Register for the Virtual Angel Hike and then hike anywhere, anytime between April 8-22. The hike will culminate on Earth Day 2021. Get outside, explore, and have fun! Registration fee $30 which includes Meredith hiking swag to commemorate the event. Registered participants will receive a collapsible water bottle, a headband, and T-shirt die-cut sticker.

April 13  
6 p.m.
Night at the Museum with the North Carolina Museum of History
Join us behind the exhibit! N.C. Museum of History staff will share some of the museum’s Revolutionary War treasures from “The Story of North Carolina” exhibit with us and how they ended up at the museum.

April 18
2 p.m.
Beginning Ballet Class featuring Molly Crumpton, ’19
Whether it’s you, your children, niece, or nephew, the beginning ballet class is open to aspiring ballerinas of all ages. This will be an in-person event held on campus; all CDC guidelines will be followed to ensure the safety of guests.

April 22
5 p.m.
Scholar Sips Series – Italian Cuisine and Culture featuring Sandra Pesoli. Invitation and registration forthcoming.
