Perez-Heydrich Serves as Consultant at Zimbabwe Workshop

Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences Carolina Perez-Heydrich was invited to participate as a statistical consultant at a workshop in Zimbabwe focused on a research project addressing the role of biomass reliance on indoor air pollution.

The workshop took place February 16-20, and involved an interdisciplinary group of participants from Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and the United States. Each participant brought different backgrounds in energy and natural resource management, environmental health, exposure science, and public policy. The goal of the workshop was to initiate dialogue with key stakeholders and develop a coupled human-environment systems framework with which to address issues of environmental sustainability and indoor air pollution in Zimbabwe.
