OCP Hosts Career Week 2018

The Office of Career Planning hosted Career Week February 17-23, 2018. OCP kicked off the week in collaboration with the Graduate School to facilitate a graduate school workshop.

The Evening of Etiquette was presented on February 19 by OCP and the Parents Council with support from the History Department, and featured global communications guru, Anne McCarthy. McCarthy shared stories of etiquette and networking from her international travels and the boardroom with more than 100 professionals and students. Students left the event prepared to introduce themselves with confidence and armed with Meredith College padfolios.

OCP collaborated with the Eastern North Carolina Career Alliance (ENCCA) to present the Spring 2018 Career Fair welcoming more than 105 companies, school systems, and graduate programs. Faculty and staff across the campus helped to promote the career fair and as a result, a record 120 Meredith students and alumnae participated in the event! (Read more about the Career Fair)

The week was rounded out with two days of drop-ins for career counseling, featuring resume reviews by the Autism Society of NC, and a well-attended information session for SAS. Multiple students have already reported job and internship offers as a result of Career Week activities. OCP thanks the Meredith community for their continued support.
