Meredith’s Strategic Planning Efforts Continue Progressing

Strategic plans are important roadmaps for an organization’s future, and the Meredith community is well on its way to developing the College’s next strategic vision.

When laying out her vision for Innovate | Imagine | Ascend, the plan the Meredith College community is developing, President Aimee Sapp has encouraged the campus to think boldly with their ideas while preserving the essence of what makes Meredith unique.

“We must be visionary enough to dream big, yet mindful to preserve the heart and soul of what makes Meredith so special,” she said.

The planning process began in the summer of 2025, with pre-planning discussions guided by Senior Vice President and Provost Anita Thomas, followed by stakeholder surveys, workshops, and a series of listening sessions held throughout the fall 2025 semester.

Sapp said the process has garnered “invaluable feedback from every corner of campus”  that is already being used to help shape Meredith’s future.

Next Steps
In the spring of 2026, the Board of Trustees will review the information and themes the Meredith community helped shape.

According to Sapp, that review will be followed by an additional round of input and will culminate in the launch of Meredith’s strategic plan by the end of 2026.

“Once that review is complete, we will come together again to draft a strategic framework that positions Meredith for a strong, sustainable, and inspiring future,” Sapp said

The Board of Trustees is expected to consider the final draft at a future meeting.
