Meredith Students Become Emerging Leaders

Each spring, the Office of Student Leadership and Service offers an Emerging Leaders Seminar Series open to all Meredith students. This seven-week series is an opportunity for students to learn from various faculty and staff members on how to be an effective, compassionate, and strong leader.

This year a total of 16 student participants completed this program. There were representatives from every class with diverse experiences and majors.

“The Emerging Leaders Seminar helped me to better understand how to lead others, and the program allowed me to know myself and get to know others on a deeper, more meaningful level,” Bethany Holder, ’19.

This seminar is intended to be an inclusive look at different leadership styles with an importance placed upon continuing to develop one’s leadership skills through development and/or training opportunities both in and outside of Meredith College.
