Meredith Offers Free Application Days for Western N.C. High School Students

Meredith College will waive application fees for prospective students from Western North Carolina counties from December 4-6, 2024. 

As a participant in the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) College Application Week, Meredith College waives application fees for one week in October. High school seniors can apply for free during these Free Application Days. This additional opportunity for Western North Carolina students is being provided this year because the fall application week was held while these areas dealt with the immediate effects of Hurricane Helene.

Qualifying counties are Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey.
