Meredith College Celebrates Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2022 

Meredith College alumnae gathered on campus May 20-22, 2022, for Meredith Alumnae Reunion Weekend. More than 600 were in attendance for the weekend of events. All alumnae are invited back to campus each year, but individual classes are invited to attend a special reunion every five years.

The Class of 1972 celebrated its 50th reunion, and members were inducted into the Golden Oaks Society at a luncheon on May 20. Friday evening all classes celebrated in the courtyard and enjoyed music from the Entertainers. On Saturday, President Allen gave a State of the College address in Jones Auditorium. Saturday evening, individual classes held activities throughout Raleigh. The weekend concluded Sunday with a worship service in Jones Chapel and brunch. 

Another highlight of the reunion was the celebration of alumnae and philanthropy award winners. The Meredith Alumnae Association and the Office of Institutional Advancement presented the following 2020 and 2022 alumnae and philanthropy awards during Alumnae Reunion Weekend. 

2020 Alumnae Award recipients:
Distinguished Alumna Award – Andrea Oakley Fox, ’95
Recent Graduate Award – Gizem Imece, ’13
Career Achievement Award – Teri Meadows Hires, ’77

2022 Alumnae Award recipients:
Distinguished Alumna Award – Alicia Hylton-Daniel, ’08, and Catherine Bland Rodgers, ’76
Recent Graduate Award – Crystal Gunther Pace, ’17
Career Achievement Award – Carrol Adams Warren, ’01

2022 Philanthropy Award recipients:
Reunion Philanthropy Award – Betsy Porter Fritschel, ’77
Meredith Memorial Philanthropy Award – Jeannette Scott, ’54
Meredith Philanthropy Award – Chris Speight Brown, ’76, and Betsy Best Phillips, ’71, ’86, ’89 (MBA)
