Meredith Athletics Championship Celebration Announced

The Meredith College athletics department will recognize championships for five sports programs Saturday, Jan. 13, and we invite the campus community to join in the celebration. Conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances earned since fall 2015 will be highlighted in January, recognizing student-athletes and coaches from cross country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Newly designed banners are on order and will offer an updated style for promoting the success of the Avenging Angels.

Currently, the program holds 10 USA South Regular Season titles and 10 conference tournament championships with 12 NCAA appearances, including five earned as an independent college. The January event will honor 137 student-athletes and 16 coaches, many of whom earned multiple titles during the two-year period.
