MCStayingStrong: Vision Day 2020

On May 9, Meredith College social media featured mortarboards decorated by members of the Class of 2020, as part of Vision Day 2020. (Read this story for more on Vision Day)
Here is a selection of what was shared by new Meredith graduates.
Business Administration major Abigail Crooks will be working at Cisco as a marketing specialist. Her cap will resonate with everyone who has had the Meredith College experience!
Communication major Meredith Brown plans to attend graduate school in 2021 to earn a master’s degree in international studies. She will be doing an internship with Meredith’s Office of International Programs in the fall.
Jenny Glidewell, a computer science major, will work as a software engineer with HCL Technologies after graduation.
Anya Johnson, who majored in Economics and Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, and a minor in Entrepreneurship, shared a photo to celebrate graduation.
Johnson shared the following about her career plans: “I’ll be staying in Raleigh working with a small business. Imurj is a music venue/art gallery/creative space, and I will be the sales and community outreach manager. I did my marketing internship for Meredith at Imurj, and completed an economics research project for our Virtual CSA Day about the local music scene in Raleigh that equipped me with necessary knowledge for my position.”
Emily Vick, ’20, who earned a degree in mathematics with 6-9 and 9-12 teaching licensure, will be a high school math teacher for Wake County Public Schools.
