- Published
The Meredith College community is invited to celebrate the dedication of the Jo Ellen Ammons Welcome Center and recently renovated Johnson Hall on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in Johnson Hall.
President Jo Allen along with an Ammons family representative will speak and unveil the new sign for the facility.
A $3.5 million gift from the Jud Ammons family, of Raleigh, N.C., in honor of his late wife Meredith alumna Jo Ellen Williams Ammons, has made the renovations possible. The gift supports Beyond Strong │The Campaign for Meredith.
The Jo Ellen Ammons Welcome Center houses all student services and creates a more user-friendly experience for prospective and current students and their families.
The renovations included building the Welcome Center, restoring historic elements of the building, adding a new cooper dome, and creating a new front fountain.
