How to Advise Students About Study Abroad

Did you know that 32% of the students in the Class of 2018 studied abroad while at Meredith College? This was the highest percentage since 2010.

Faculty and staff may wonder how to support their students’ interest in studying abroad. If a student expresses an interest in study abroad, or you think she’d benefit from international education opportunities, share the following steps:

1. Attend the Study Abroad Fair, September 11 from 5-7 p.m. in the Courtyard
2. Sign up for a Study Abroad 101 workshop, offered every Monday at 10 a.m. Register through this link 
3. Stop by Lux 124 to schedule a study abroad advising appointment with Liz Yaros
4. Attend a Funding Workshop. Register through this link 
5. Apply for a program and scholarships at meredith.edu/studyabroad
