Giving Day February 28

The second annual Make It Count for Meredith Giving Day is Tuesday, February 28, 2017. This 24-hour giving challenge aims to raise $250,000 for Beyond Strong │Campaign for Meredith.

This year, The Meredith Fund, which coordinates the day, is asking donors to recognize a strong woman in their life and honor her with a gift. People who are honored will receive a letter after the event so they know that someone special has given a gift in their name.

There are several ways you can be a part of the day. First of all, follow Meredith College on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter to share in the excitement. Visit meredith.edu/makeitcount4mc to see the total money raised in real time. Wear your Meredith apparel, and if you are on social media change your profile picture to show your Meredith pride, and use the #MakeItCount4MC hashtag in your posts. Additionally, help spread the word by posting the link meredith.edu/makeitcount4mc and encourage people to give.

Last year, the goal of our first Giving Day was to commemorate 125 years of Meredith College by raising $125,000. By 11 a.m. the goal was reached. President Allen then asked alumnae and friends of the College to double the goal, and by 8 p.m. that $250,000 goal had been reached. In total, the College raised $283,052 in one day.

If you would like to make a gift, go to meredith.edu/makeitcount4mc or call (919) 760-8202 on February 28. Any amount can make a difference.
