Faculty/Staff Accomplishments 6/10/20

In this issue, we celebrate accomplishments of staff from Career Planning and Campus Police.

The Office of Career Planning staff continue to be leaders in career services across the state. Jane Matthews is serving in 2020-21 as the Conference Co-Chair for the NC Association of Colleges and Employers (NCACE). Katie Peterssen moved into the role of President for the NC Career Development Association (NCCDA) and Flannery Clair will serve as the Newsletter Chair for NCCDA this year. NCACE and NCCDA are the leading state professional associations in the field.

May was Mental Health Awareness Month and Campus Police Chief Al White recognized its significance by participating in a 200 mile walk challenge. The challenge promoted mental, physical, and spiritual fitness through physical endurance. After starting on May 1, Chief White completed the challenge on May 23, averaging 50 miles walking per week.
