Experience Meredith 2018

On Saturday, March 17, the Office of Admissions hosted Experience Meredith!, its annual event for admitted students. This year, a record number of 296 admitted students attended with their guests, totaling 737 people.

Co-coordinators and Associate Directors of Admission Grace Sugg, Gina Wilner, and Karina Van Wakeren-Shields organized the event with the help of student volunteers, staff, and faculty members.

Several information sessions for students and parents were held across campus, including “Academic Life: How to Succeed,” “Residence Life,” “Study Abroad” and “Calm, Confident, and Career Ready.”  Additionally, there were many student panels, an Activities & Services Fair, and a comprehensive Academic Programs Fair, during which prospective students and parents could meet faculty, staff, and current students.

One student, who decided to commit to Meredith and submit her enrollment deposit at the event, said she was happy to meet her potential roommate in person after connecting with her on the official Meredith College Class of 2022 Facebook page. Parents said they enjoyed their time on campus and were grateful to meet so many faculty and staff members.
