Emerging Leaders Seminar Ends With Alumnae Panel
- Published
The Emerging Leaders Seminar wrapped up its six-week series during the last week of February. The final session featured an alumnae panel during which new student leaders could hear from recent graduates about how their experiences at Meredith prepared them for their careers.
One student shared, “The last day with the panel was something I enjoyed a lot. Seeing Meredith graduates living the dream was very inspiring.”
The seminar focused on different aspects of leadership, each week building on the next, to help students with all different backgrounds learn from one another and expand their skill sets.
The seminar challenges typical assumptions about leadership, summarized by one student who stated, “I feel like I improved my leadership skills a lot. I learned leadership is more than just directing people to a goal, you have to inspire their hearts and minds.”
The Emerging Leaders Seminar is one of the leadership programs offered through the Office of Leadership & Service.
