Celebrating National Girls and Women in Sports Day

Wednesday, February 4, 2026, is National Girls and Women in Sports Day, a day celebrating the accomplishments of girls and women in sports and acknowledging the positive influence of sports participation. 

Meredith College Avenging Angels empower women athletes to achieve success in their sport and in the classroom. Our teams have won more than 35 USA South Championships with more than 750 USA South All-Academic students. And Meredith is a previous winner of the USA South Women’s Presidents Cup.

Meredith currently offers basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field (indoor and outdoor), and volleyball, with flag football starting in 2026-27.
