Celebrate 125 Years of Meredith College

Meredith’s 125th Anniversary Founders’ Week will be held February 22-27, 2016. Join us in celebrating 125 years of Going Strong! 

There will be events throughout the week for the campus community, including special opportunities just for alumnae. To attend any of the scheduled events, please RSVP to the Office of Alumnae Relations at or (919) 760-8548.

Monday, February 22
6 – 8 p.m. – 125th Anniversary Celebration Alumnae Reception, City of Raleigh Museum
In celebration of 125 years, the City of Raleigh Museum will feature an archival display about Meredith’s history.  Join us for an opening night celebration and start to Founders’ Week, where you will hear remarks from President Jo Allen, ’80, as well as alumna Kimberly Floyd, assistant director of the City of Raleigh Museum. Cost: $20/person

Tuesday, February 23
Make It Count for Meredith 24-hour Giving Challenge: For an entire day, we'll be raising funds to make Meredith College even stronger. Look for more information about the giving challenge in February.

Wednesday, February 24
9 a.m. – Alumnae Breakfast, Alumnae House Parlor

10 a.m. – 125th Anniversary Convocation, Jones Auditorium
Join the campus community in celebrating Meredith’s past and present. This special event will include remarks by Professor Emeritus Roger Crook, musical selections, and the unveiling of Meredith’s new historical marker.

Thursday, February 25
4 -6 p.m. Alumnae Art Exhibition Reception, Cate Student Center Lobby

Friday, February 26
10 a.m. – Campus Celebration, Jones Auditorium
Please join us on campus for a birthday celebration featuring remarks from President Jo Allen ’80.  This special event will include a Beyond Strong campaign update and presentation of this year’s Woman of Achievement award.

11:30 a.m. – Lunch and Learn: Meredith Through the Decades, Belk Dining Hall
A panel, featuring alumnae from various decades, will highlight their Meredith experiences as students and alumnae. Cost: $15 

Saturday, February 27
2 – 4 p.m. Open House and City of Raleigh Museum Tours, Cate Center and City of Raleigh Museum
