The Meredith basketball team continues one of their most successful seasons in recent history with more overall wins recorded already since the 2005-06 season. The eight USA South wins collected thus far mark the program’s best season since Meredith joined the league in 2007. And the Avenging Angels still have a lot of basketball left to play.
The team begins a five-game home stretch tonight versus the Methodist Monarchs at 7:30 p.m. The Avenging Angels held on last week for a seven-point victory over the William Peace Pacers and look to extend their success throughout the second half of the conference season.
The Cary YMCA Super Skippers are scheduled to perform during halftime of the 2 p.m. February 7 basketball game versus the Averett Cougars. Mark this date on your calendar to enjoy a unique and impressive presentation.
This three-time national champion competitive jump rope team performs locally as well as nationally. They are dedicated to teaching leadership and promoting jump rope as a healthy activity that can be fun! Fans will want to be on campus for this unique event.
Bring your sweetie to campus Saturday, Feb. 14, and spend Valentine’s Day with the Avenging Angels. Tennis opens the day at 11 a.m. playing host to the Division II Barton Bulldogs. Softball hosts Guilford College in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m., and fans can take a break from the cold to watch basketball host Ferrum at 2 p.m.
February 14 marks the basketball team’s Play 4Kay event. Representatives from the Kay Yow Foundation will be on hand, and all proceeds will benefit the cancer fund.
The 2014 USA South Women’s Lacrosse Tournament Champion Avenging Angels open their season the following Friday at home versus Converse.
All three spring sports teams include a combined 24 new faces, so stop by to meet the Meredith Angels.
