Assessment Matters: Spring 2019 Student Satisfaction Survey

Results from the 2019 Student Satisfaction Survey show that Meredith student satisfaction levels have stayed positive, and in most cases they are higher than in previous years. Meredith invited 1,501 undergraduate students to participate in the survey this February, and 764 completed the questionnaire.

The following are some highlights that show significant levels of student satisfaction with their Meredith experiences:

  • 92% agree that they feel connected to Meredith
  • 90% agree that Meredith is the right school for them
  • 95% are glad they came to Meredith
  • 98% reported making expected progress towards their degree
  • 97% rated the value of a Meredith education as good, very good, or excellent
  • 97% reported that one or more Meredith faculty/staff members had shown interest in their development
  • 91% agree that a women’s college was a good choice for them

Students responding to the survey had the following to say about the Counseling Center at Meredith

  • 96% said that they were satisfied with their counseling services
  • 93% felt understood by their counselor
  • 92% found counseling to be helpful
  • 95% would recommend counseling to a friend
  • 97% said that their counselor was knowledgeable
  • 97% found their counselor to be affirming and encouraging

The results from this survey are used by a number of units on campus in their annual assessment processes, as well as by the Director of Retention and Student Success to reach out to students who have expressed particular concern(s) or are deemed a retention risk. A summary trend report will be available on the RPA MyMeredith page in the coming weeks – listed under Institutional Survey Reports.

Please contact RPA if you need data in a different format (e.g. as means) or broken down by sub-group(s) (e.g. we provided a report to the Office of International Programs with the satisfaction ratings of all international students).

Thank you to everyone for working to enhance the experiences and satisfaction of our students.
