Assessment Matters: Spring 2018 Student Satisfaction Survey

Results from the 2018 Student Satisfaction Survey show that Meredith student satisfaction levels have stayed positive, and in many cases they are higher than in previous years. A group of 1,596 undergraduate students were invited to participate in the survey this February, and 770 completed the questionnaire.

The following are some highlights that show significant levels of student satisfaction with their Meredith experiences:

  • 91% agree that they feel connected to Meredith
  • 90% agree that Meredith is the right school for them
  • 94% are glad they came to Meredith
  • 98% reported making expected progress towards their degree
  • 97% rated the value of a Meredith education as good, very good, or excellent
  • 98% agreed that most of their courses were academically challenging
  • 97% agreed that Meredith offered them a variety of leadership development opportunities

Students had the following to say about the new Lowery fitness center:

  • 98% agreed that the available fitness/wellness programs meet their needs
  • 99% agreed the fitness center is clean and comfortable
  • 99% agreed there is adequate equipment in the fitness center
  • 93% agreed that the fitness center hours suited their schedules

The results from this survey are used by a number of units on campus in their annual assessment processes, as well as by the Director of Retention and Student Success to reach out to students who have expressed particular concern(s) or are deemed a retention risk. A summary trend report will be available on the RPA MyMeredith page in the coming weeks – listed under Institutional Survey Reports.

Please contact RPA if you need data in a different format (e.g. as means) or broken down by sub-group(s) (e.g. we provided a report to the Office of International Programs with the satisfaction ratings of all international students).

Thank you to everyone for working to enhance the experiences and satisfaction of our students.
