Alumnae Offer Crucial Support to Admissions

It’s hard to believe the holidays are already upon us! Our recruiters have been traveling up and down the East Coast attending college fairs and meeting with high school counselors and students this fall. Thank you to the alumnae and parents for attending a fair with me this fall. Michelle Bueti, parent of Victoria Bueti, who is a current student at Meredith, attended a college fair this fall in Danbury, Conn., and did a great job of connecting with families! Also, thank you to Christy Arbogast, ’96, for attending a college fair at Archbishop Spalding High School in Maryland. Both of your warm personalities and enthusiasm for Meredith could really be felt with students and parents at these events! Reading applications is a high priority for our recruiters right now, and we’re excited to start congratulating students on their admission to Meredith soon!

Our office will hold an open house for juniors and seniors on Saturday, January 26. Please encourage students who would be a great fit for Meredith to visit campus that day or schedule an individual visit at meredith.edu/admissions/visit. Our Explore Meredith Open House for high school juniors will take place on Saturday, April 6, and registration will be available in February 2019.

The Fall Focus Week took place November 5-9 with a focus on high school seniors in the NC-05 Piedmont region and Mid-Atlantic region who had not applied to Meredith yet. There were 198 seniors contacted by 14 alumnae during this week, so thank you to those alumnae who emailed students and shared their Meredith experiences with these young women! Our January Focus week will focus on high school juniors, encouraging them to visit campus and to start thinking about the college application process.

Alumnae Recruitment – Refer a Student to Meredith

Remember, if you know a student who would be a great fit for Meredith, don’t forget to refer her via the online referral form. When the student applies to Meredith during her senior year, her $40 application fee will be waived. You can also find our “Friends of Meredith College Application Fee Voucher” online. Either one of these referral options will waive a student’s application fee when she applies.
