Program Overview: Business in China
China is the world’s second largest and fastest growing major economy. MBA students have a unique opportunity to experience the history, culture, and business environment of China through a study abroad program.
Business in China is a summer course that includes a 14 day excursion to China. Through a focus on the social, political, educational, and economic environment in China as compared to the U.S., you will gain a deep understanding of both the challenges and opportunities within the business landscape.
Students earn three hours of academic credit toward the MBA curriculum. The group has six pre-departure class meetings and then travels to China in May to visit Shanghai, Suzhou, and Beijing. Upon returning to the U.S. students have two more class meetings to debrief experiences and present reports.
"The Meredith MBA China experience was amazing and has helped me to grow both personally and professionally. Now, I have a better understanding and appreciation for the Chinese culture and the complexities of conducting business within the China mainland as well as internationally. I am so glad that I made the decision to seize this unbelievable opportunity – I will never forget it!” Allen Vann,'16, MBA
