Meredith College Offers Educational Summer Camps for Children

Meredith College offers summer programs for children in first through eighth grade. Our programs are open to students with an interest in science, technology, engineering, math, Spanish, and the visual and performing arts.

Students experience the Meredith campus while working with current students, faculty, and staff. All camps include lunch in Belk Dining Hall.

Here are some options for your child(ren) this summer:

Verano Latino is a camp for rising first through fifth grade students who are interested in learning the Spanish language and cultivating cultural and global awareness. Students will learn through fun and engaging, hands-on lessons with a Spanish teacher. Open to boys and girls. Camp runs June 18-22, 2018.

Growing Engineers, Mathematicians and Scientists (GEMS) is a camp for rising first through fifth grade girls who are interested in exploring careers in engineering, math, and science. Students will learn through fun, educational hands-on activities that incorporate math, engineering, and technology. Camp runs June 18-22 and July 9-13, 2018.

Discovering the Artist in Me! is a camp for rising first through fifth grade girls who are interested in exploring visual and performing arts. With an emphasis on language arts and social studies, students will find their favorite way to create and communicate through dance, music, theatre, and visual art. Camp runs July 16-20, 2018.

S.T.E.A.M. is a camp for rising sixth through eighth grade girls who are interested in exploring careers in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about these curriculum areas and how to use them as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Camp runs July 9-13, 2018.
