Celebration Held for Psychology Program

The Department of Psychology and Social Work hosted an event on April 27 to celebrate the past and the future of the Psychology program.

Psychology alumnae from 1967-2016 enjoyed a heavy hors d’oevre reception with faculty emeriti Rosemary Hornak and Jack Huber. Alumnae also recorded video greetings for Distinguished Emerita Marie Mason, ’47, age 100 and half.

The reception was followed by a lecture by Dr. Ruth Kennedy, ’83, an industrial-organizational psychologist. Kennedy also spoke in classes during the day.

During the event, the Department was excited to announce the addition of a Master of Arts in Psychology – Industrial/Organizational Concentration. The new program (pending approval by the Meredith College Board of Trustees) will enroll students in Fall 2018.
