Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Meredith College complies with all applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act and any other applicable law regarding disability. The College does not discriminate against any qualified employee or applicant regarding any term or condition of employment because of such individual’s disability or perceived disability, so long as the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

The College will provide reasonable accommodations to a qualified individual with a disability, as defined by the ADA. Requests for accommodation will be reviewed and an interactive process utilized in discussing reasonable accommodations. The College, in its discretion, may require additional information in order to assess the need for reasonable accommodation. Employees or applicants who feel they need a reasonable accommodation to perform the essential functions of their job should contact their supervisor or the Office of Human Resources. Meredith College prohibits retaliation against any employee or applicant who requests an accommodation or otherwise enforces rights pursuant to the ADA or other applicable law regarding disability.

This policy applies to all aspects of employment, including recruitment, selection, advancement, compensation, benefits, discipline, training, leave, transfer and termination. Employment decisions are made without regard to disability. Questions or concerns should be directed to the Office of Human Resources at 919-760-8898 or hr@meredith.edu.
