The Sarah Lemmon Award~
This award recognizes that senior whose academic interests, leadership across campus, and commitment to excellence most embody that of our long time Department Head and professor of history.  

Alice B. Keith Scholarship~ 
To be eligible for consideration for this award, a student must be a rising senior with at least a 3.3 GPA.  Criteria for selection are academic excellence, participation in extra-curricular activities, and future educational and career goals. 
Applications must include~
1.  An up-to-date academic transcript (unofficial is fine)
2.  Several paragraphs describing your background, your personal and career goals, what your education has meant to you, and what you hope to accomplish during your senior year.

The Frank & Caroline Grubbs Award~
Each year the Department of History and Political Science awards a scholarship to at least one rising Senior who is pursuing certification in Social Studies. The selection of the recipient is based on multiple criteria:  scholarship, potential as an educator, and career plans.  
Applications must include three copies of the following~
1.  A current academic transcript
2.  Several paragraphs describing the reasons that you want to become a teacher and your career goals
