The Health Insurance Waiver Portal will open in June for new Fall 2023 students and July 1st for returning students. Fall 2023 waiver or enrollment actions can be made through 5:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) has been selected to be the health insurance carrier for Meredith College students for the 2022-2023 academic year at a rate of $320/month.

The payments are divided into semester charges with 5 months of coverage (August-December) charged in Fall 2023 and 7 months (January-July) in Spring 2024. The Fall 2023 rate is $1,600.00 which covers 5 months, August 2023 to December 2023 and the Spring/Summer 2024 rate is $2,240.00 which covers 7 months, January 2024 to July 2024.

All required students** must take action in the Meredith BCBS insurance portal each year.

**Required students include: all full-time undergraduates, licensure only, pre-health, I/O Psych, international, study abroad, and dietetic interns.

The portal will close for ALL students on Wednesday, September 15, 2023 at 5:00pm EDT. No changes can be made after the portal closes.

If a waiver is not submitted by the deadline, the fall charge ($1,600.00) on your student account will remain and cannot be removed.

To enroll in the insurance plan, please complete your enrollment today so you receive your insurance card in a timely manner.

New students will need to set up their account prior to taking action in the portal. Current students will need to log-in to the portal using their Meredith email address and their BCBS portal password. Please note that the BCBS portal password is different from your Meredith password.
