Psychology
The Master of Arts in Psychology: Industrial/Organizational Concentration (I/O) at Meredith College prepares graduates to use the methods of scientific psychology to improve both the effectiveness of organizations and the work-life quality of employees.
Business Foundations
The Business Foundations Certificate program is designed for women and men seeking to sharpen their knowledge of fundamental business concepts such as quantitative analysis and statistics, economics, accounting, and finance. The part-time, evening program accommodates the busy schedules of career-oriented professionals.
Criminal Justice Post-Baccalaureate Certificate
The Criminal Justice Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is for those interested in gaining more skills and knowledge to further their careers within the criminal justice sector. This 18-hour certificate is also useful for students interested in community college or vocational teaching in the criminal justice field.
Criminal Justice and Substance Use Disorder Post-Baccalaureate Certificate
The Criminal Justice and Substance Abuse Post-Baccalaureate Certificate prepares criminal justice managers to more fully understand addiction and its effects on the field of criminal justice. The courses are offered regularly, allowing you to complete this 12-hour certificate in one year.
Dietetic Internship
Meredith College’s Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)-accredited Dietetic Internship program provides college graduates who have met the DPD requirements with the knowledge and supervised practice needed to enter this fast-growing field of nutrition.
Digital Communication
Digital communication is a growing field encompassing videography, image manipulation, professional writing, social media management, and web design. Meredith’s post-baccalaureate certificate is the only face-to-face program of its kind in the Triangle area. Designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree, the flexible, 16 credit-hour program allows you to gain key technical knowledge that complements the skills you already have.
Paralegal
Gain the skills to be a strong paralegal. There’s only one American Bar Association approved paralegal program in the Triangle – Meredith College’s. For more than 30 years, women and men in Meredith’s paralegal program have gained the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the fast-changing legal environment.
Pre-Health
Meredith’s pre-health post-baccalaureate certificate is the only program of its kind in the Triangle. Designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree, the pre-health post-baccalaureate program gives you the flexibility to design a curriculum that works best for your needs, no matter what healthcare field you are interested in pursuing.
Teacher Add-on Licensure
Current licensed teachers seeking additional licensure will benefit from a specialized program in their area of interest. You’ll gain classroom and real-world experience through courses on teaching and interaction strategies, as well as a hands-on field experience within your current school or classroom. Teachers will have the opportunity to implement what they learn in their own setting.
Teacher Licensure Only
The Teacher Education Program is open to women and men college graduates who meet the standards established by the Meredith College Teacher Education Committee and the Department of Education. Initial licensure candidates must take a minimum of 30 hours of course work at Meredith, which may include courses in general education. Exceptions will be determined on an individual basis by the Department of Education.
Teacher Licensure Through Residency
You want to gain the credentials to become a teacher through Residency. Residency candidates must be employed by an LEA (local education agency) and be admitted to a teacher education program.

Strong Graduates
Danae Gross, ’22, is a registered and licensed dietitian earning her master’s in nutrition at Meredith. She will continue pursuing her goal of one day becoming a professor through UNC-Chapel Hill’s Ph.D. program in nutrition with a minor in epidemiology.
Cathedia Rose, ’22, M.A. in psychology, said Meredith’s program gave her the tools to improve hiring practices and performance appraisals with methods backed by a scientific practitioner approach.
Larissa Bryant, ’13, earned her M.A. in Teaching at Meredith in order to have a positive impact on her students’ future.
After being licensed as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher as an undergraduate student, Megan Diehl, ’10, ’13, returned to Meredith to pursue her M.Ed. with a concentration in ESL.
According to Arielle Smith, ’21, M.A. in Psychology, without Meredith’s program, she would have never landed her internship or her job as an HR Assessment Analyst.
Yi Deng, ’15, earned a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) with plans to work as an elementary school teacher at a bilingual immersion school.

Jackson Mathis, ’21, originally came to Meredith wanting to go down the project management route, but after completing an internship with a global software company, discovered a new career direction. With the help of professors and mentors within the MBA program, he transitioned to a position as a senior analyst.
La’Na Holden, ’19, M.Ed., returned to school to obtain her M.Ed. because she is passionate about always looking for ways to grow and learn.
After working as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten class, Zipporah Whiteman, ’18, M.A. in Teaching, came to Meredith College to develop her passion for education.
