Discovering a World of Opportunity – Jessica Rosko

When Jessica Rosko, ’16, transferred to Meredith from a large university, she discovered a new world of opportunity.

An interior design major, she gained hands-on experience in her field through internships with Moon Interiors and Burke Interior Designs, both in Raleigh.

Jessica will continue her internship with Burke until August, when she departs for a month abroad in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea, to gather inspiration for her designs.

At the conclusion of that trip, she plans to pursue an interior design career in the U.S. or abroad.

Jessica says her professors encouraged her sense of adventure – and her career goals.

“The small class sizes at Meredith suited me; I like when my professors know my name. After going to a large university, I felt like Meredith was not judgmental and really accepting. I became close with a lot of my professors in a short two years.”

Jessica participated in Meredith’s student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, made the Dean’s List, and received the Sala Clarke Interior Design Scholarship in spring 2015.

Now that her Meredith experience is complete, she is ready for the next step.

“I’ve had a passion for space planning and design since I was young. I cannot wait to take what I am so passionate about and turn it into a career.”
