The 2018 Chinese New Year Celebration will be held on Friday, February 23rd from 10:00-11:00 AM in the Kresge Auditorium, Cate Student Center. Chinese New Year, known in modern Chinese as the "Spring Festival", is a Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. The first day of the New Year falls on the new moon between January 21 and February 20. In 2018, the first day of Chinese New Year falls on Friday, February 16.
The cultural performances will include Taiji, traditional Guzheng music, calligraphy demo, ti jianzi, folk art/paper cutting and etc. Please join us for the festive celebration. Full attendance to the event counts as an Academic/Cultural event for General Education.
