Dr. Wetonah Rice Parker is a professor in the Department of Education. Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN, she received her undergraduate degree in biology and science licensure from Ball State University, Muncie, IN; her M.Ed. in special education and administration licensure from North Carolina Central University; and her doctorate in curriculum and instruction from North Carolina State University. Dr. Parker is a former classroom teacher, teaching for over 14 years in Raleigh City and Wake County Public Schools, and worked for private industry, providing educational services to public school teachers in North and South Carolina.
