Shepard Halsch is a 1985 graduate of Meredith College. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and young son. They also spend as much time as possible at their home on Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Shepard worked in advertising sales for several consumer magazines for fifteen years. She recognized the impact that the Martha Stewart Magazine had on the wedding industry and bought and managed a small wedding/specialty cake business.
Currently, Shepard is a tireless volunteer. She served as the community liaison for the Manna House food program in Fairfield County for eight years. She is very involved with her church and has served as a deacon, elder and on various committees.
As an adoptive parent, she is a consultant for couples seeking to understand the arduous process of adoption.
