My career in education began in 1976 as a teacher of young children. I continued to teach and administer in programs for young children (3-9) for 14 years. In 1989, I began to study child development in graduate school and earned my advanced degrees. My college teaching began at Meredith in fall of 1995. Between 1994 and 1998 I was co-author or author of five peer-reviewed works in leading journals of my field. From 2003 to date I have been Director of General Education at Meredith and since fall 2012 I have been Director of Undergraduate Research.
