Logan Salas joined the Meredith College staff as the assistant athletic trainer in summer 2021.
Salas arrives in Raleigh after spending the last two academic years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Clemson University. While with the Tigers, she was involved in daily evaluations, treatments and rehabilitations for the football and rowing teams and also oversaw COVID-19 testing for the football team during the height of the pandemic.
Before obtaining her Masters degree at Clemson in athletic leadership, Salas earned a Bachelors of Science in athletic training at East Carolina University. She spent one year as an athletic training resident for the football and softball teams at Charleston Southern University, also an NCAA Division I institution. With the football team, Salas performed daily evaluations, treatments and rehabilitations. In the spring, she independently oversaw athletic training coverage for the softball team. She also coordinated visiting teams during tournaments.
Salas worked with several teams while at ECU, including the men’s basketball, football, softball and women’s soccer programs. In addition, she worked with nearby J.H. Rose High School athletic programs. She served as president of the ECU athletic training club.
Salas is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
