Lisa Robie Poole, ’86, is the owner of Quail Ridge Books & Music, a beloved independent bookstore in west Raleigh.

Born and raised in Raleigh, Poole attended St. Timothy’s School, Hale High School (now St. David’s), and Sanderson High School before attending Meredith. She earned a degree in American history and a minor in communication, and earned her teaching certificate and taught sixth grade.

Poole is a member of the North Carolina Writers’ Network. Meredith College and Quail Ridge enjoy close geographical proximity, as well as a longstanding partnership as they work together to bring outstanding authors to speak.

She and her husband have three daughters.
