Engineering Challenges and Ethics

(4 0 cr.) - Session(s): Spring | Course Every Other Year

This course is designed for first year students pursuing dual-degree engineering. The course includes hands-on experiments to develop and enhance problem-solving skills in fundamental areas of engineering.  Emphasis is placed on the synthesis of knowledge, skills and methodologies essential to all types of engineering professions. The course will integrate core scientific foundations into an engineering perspective. Ethical issues in engineering will be examined through case studies and role play. The course is designed to help facilitate success in the engineering program. Prerequisites: CHE-111 and MAT-170 or MAT-180
