The health and safety of the Meredith community, including study abroad participants and faculty, are of paramount concern to Meredith College.
All Meredith Abroad faculty-led programs and affiliate programs scheduled for the remainder of spring and summer 2020 have been canceled.
The Office of International Programs (OIP) will continue to monitor this issue. If the occurrence of the coronavirus continues to be deemed unsafe for Meredith travelers, it is possible that additional study abroad programs may need to be revised or canceled. These decisions would be made by the OIP in conjunction with the Provost’s Office. Faculty, staff, and students planning to travel should monitor the World Health Organization (WHO), the US Department of State and CDC websites to stay up-to-date on the coronavirus and affected areas.
Meredith College asks that anyone returning to the U.S. from abroad follow CDC recommendations for travelers to protect themselves and others. The U.S. Department of State advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel at this time because of the global impact of COVID-19.
