Research is an integral component of the computer science program and students have many opportunities to conduct research. Participating in research gives students the opportunity to work collaboratively to solve problems, develop research questions and make presentations. Recent undergraduate research projects by computer science majors include:

  • “Cataloguing Conversation: Using Word Frequency to Predict Utterance Categorization”
  • “Building a Green Laptop: Viable or Visionary?”
  • “How does your vote count? Comparing voting algorithms and effects on elections”
Computer Science Program at Meredith College

Students in Meredith’s computer science program work in a uniquely collaborative environment, have access to a variety of resources, and gain hands-on experience in the field through a required internship.
