Meredith College students in the spring 2026 Honors colloquium discovered the role of mathematics in democracy.
Meredith College will offer a new major in statistical and data sciences beginning Fall 2025. Meredith’s Statistical and Data Sciences major will allow students to gain experience in making data-driven decisions using advanced data science techniques.
Six students represented Meredith College at the ASA DataFest, a nationally recognized data analysis and statistical computing competition that took place March 28-30, 2025, at NC State University.
A Human Computers exhibition produced by Meredith public history students is now on display in the Cate-Park Center alcove. It will be on view through October 15.
Meredith College student Emma Brooks, ’24, has been featured on the website of Women in Data Science (WiDS) Worldwide. Brooks is earning a degree in mathematics and computer science with a minor in data science. In the WiDs article, she discusses how her interest in data science began at Meredith.
