Meredith College held its third annual Make It Count for Meredith Giving Day on February 27, 2018. A total of 1,865 donors contributed $392,811 during the 24 hours.
The 47th Annual Conference of the North Carolina Political Science Association (NCPSA) was held at Meredith College on February 23, 2018. The conference was hosted by the Department of History, Political Science, and International Studies, and coordinated by Assistant Professor of Political Science Whitney Ross Manzo, who was elected NCPSA president for 2018-19.
Professor of Music and Coordinator of Piano Studies Kent Lyman was on sabbatical during the Fall 2017 semester. He spent all of October in South Korea on a visiting professorship at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul.

The 1891 Club hosted Meredith’s fourth annual Thank a Donor Day on February 28, 2018. On the day prior, Phonathon students kicked off the celebration by calling donors to thank them for their gifts during Make It Count for Meredith Giving Day.
Meredith College hosted Communication (COM) Week February 19-23, in which the communication department partnered with the Office of Career Planning to host a variety of events to celebrate the major and its students.
Meredith College hosted the Spring 2018 Annual Career Fair in conjunction with the Eastern North Carolina Career Alliance (ENCCA) on February 21.
Meredith College will host a screening of the film Food Evolution on March 22, at 6 p.m. in Jones Auditorium. The film will be followed by a panel discussion.
