A short documentary by Lorena Alvarado about a young woman with a passion for fencing who learns to deal with the loss of her limbs.

Canyon Song (13:31)
This short documentary by Dana Romanoff and Amy Marquis is about two young Navajo girls learning about their culture and history.

Dancing on Wheels (10:41)
Qingzi Fan’s short documentary about a ballerina who learns to dance in the body that she has after a tragic accident.

In the Footsteps of Regina Jonas (11:00)
Gail Reimer honors the first woman rabbi who died in Auschwitz through this short documentary.

Little Works of Art (13:00)
A short documentary by Kim Best about Harold “Cat Man” Sims and his American Museum of the House Cat, which he founded in order to support his no-kill, open cat shelter.

Lotte Reiniger (2:51)  
An animated documentary about animation pioneer Lotte Reiniger by animator and director Anna Humphries, drawn in Reiniger’s signature style.                                     

Tokio (5:10)
A short animated film by director and animator Eri Yokoyama about Tokio, a man who buys a plant to attract butterflies but must wait a long time for them to arrive.

Why Not Now?  (2:51)
Director Riley Hooper shares the story of Vivian Stancil, who, at the age of 49, began to swim even though she was blind and afraid of water.

Followed by a discussion moderated by filmmakers Camden Watts, ’03, Vivian Bowman Edwards, and Kim Best.
