Verano Latino Summer Camp

Building Bilingual, Biliterate, and Bicultural Learners!

Verano Latino is an opportunity for elementary students to receive Spanish language instruction through fun and engaging, hands-on lessons with a Spanish as a foreign language teacher.

Open to rising second grade through sixth grade students, Verano Latino will develop enthusiasm for learning a new language and to cultivate cultural and global awareness.

Participants will

• Develop enthusiasm for learning a new language and to cultivate cultural and global awareness
• Receive culturally relevant social studies instruction that will build on the cultural and linguistic resources and strengths
• Work with Angeles Latinas undergraduate students at Meredith
