Finding her security in the Greek world threatened, Medea reacts in the most violent way
imaginable. When her husband abandons his family to marry the Greek Princess of Corinth
Medea takes her revenge in the life blood of all who Jason cares for. Based upon the ancient
myth of Jason and Medea, Euripides' tragedy explores the themes of loss, belonging, and
revenge. Join us in the beautiful McIver Amphitheatre for an afternoon of catharsis in a
production that mirrors the way the ancient Greeks might have seen it. Outside, under the sun,
and fully masked.
