Artemis II Mission Launch: Return to the Moon (Date TBA)
March 1 - March 31
The Artemis II mission will launch no earlier than March 2026. We (Meredith College) will update this event as we have more of a determined date. This launch will be the first mission back to the moon since 1969, when NASA’s Apollo 11 mission with Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin went to the moon’s surface.
The four astronauts chosen for this mission are Mission Specialist Christina Koch (an NCSU double grad!), Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen.
