Path to Liberation- saint, sawdust, soul

Path to Liberation- saint, sawdust, soul

Works by Lehna Huie

Lehna Huie is a multi-disciplinary artist, arts educator, curator, and cultural worker exercising a belief in the power of multi-vocal art from Brooklyn, NY. She is an artist amplifying stories of love, loss, and remembrance. Huie is deeply committed to the fusion of arts and social change as a path to liberation: exploring the past, present and the future of struggle and freedom. Her work embodies cultural critique, celebration, and transformation.

Path to Liberation- saint, sawdust soul combines earlier works in paint and mixed media as well as new pieces from three current bodies of work, including Of Bone & Breath, Imagine a World and I Be Your Water. The pieces work together in harmony with one another simultaneously to build a multi-vocal narrative.
